Cookies are small text files that a website can place in your browser to recognise you on a later visit or during the same session. Local storage and session storage work similarly but stay directly in the browser rather than being sent back automatically with every request. A website can also make invisible technical requests to other domains, for example to load a font or a script, and that request can reveal your IP address to the domain it is sent to. No. The site sets no cookies of its own, and we have not installed any third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or comparable tools. The only technologies actually in use are the first-party visit measurement and the browser-storage entries described below, together with two third-party requests needed to display fonts and a phone-number field correctly.

We count visits with our own script, served from our own domain, hotelviaverdedelasierra.es. It records pages viewed, time on page, the referring website, campaign parameters contained in the link (UTM parameters or an advertising click id), device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored. If you send an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visit so we know which channel brought it. This measurement does not use cookies; it relies on the local-storage identifiers listed in the table above, which expire 30 days after your last visit.

We use three browser-storage entries, listed in the table above: one remembers that you closed the cookie notice, one remembers which yacht you clicked on so the enquiry form can be pre-filled, and one holds the random visitor and session identifiers used for visit measurement. None of them contains your name, email address, phone number or any other contact detail; they only hold technical identifiers or a short preference needed to make the site work smoothly.

• Google Fonts loads the typefaces used throughout the site; the request is sent to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
• jsDelivr CDN loads the intl-tel-input script used by the phone-number field in our enquiry forms, so you can select the correct country code; the request is sent to jsDelivr's servers, which receive your IP address.

Neither of these requests sets a cookie for us, and we receive nothing back from them beyond the correctly rendered font or script.

Tapping a WhatsApp button on this site does two things. First, it records the click, together with the page URL, referrer, language and the prefilled message text, in our own booking system, in the same way as the visit measurement described above. Second, it opens WhatsApp. Nothing is set on hotelviaverdedelasierra.es by WhatsApp before you click the button. Once you are inside the WhatsApp conversation, that exchange runs on WhatsApp, operated by Meta, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, which we do not control.

You can view, block or delete local storage, session storage and any future cookies through your browser settings; most browsers let you do this for a single site or for all sites, and you can also open the site in a private or incognito window. Clearing your browser storage removes the visit-measurement identifiers immediately rather than waiting for the 30-day expiry, and it also removes the cookie-notice preference, so the notice will appear again. Blocking the storage entries described on this page does not prevent you from browsing the site or sending an enquiry, although the yacht-prefill feature may stop working.
